Down but not out

Saturday saw the final fixture of the Birmingham and District Cross Country League in Leamington.   Although the team couldn’t escape relegation into division 2, there is much to encourage a quick return to the top division.   First 3  finishers aged under 30, scoring 6 positions changing in last 400m of a 6 mile race with all of the  A team back in the top 100.  The B and C team performed well with closely fought battles throughout the race, with Jon Lewis and Tommy K only caught in separate photo frames in the final stages of the race that saw a debut performance for Richard Harris.  Glenn Lacey’s fast improving times means he will be a contender for next season, and congratulations Paul Allen competing in his 50th year of competing in the league.   Thanks to Barry Griffiths for team scoring, Mick Deakin for officiating, and Moh And Stuart for driving.  Overall, as Chairman Steven said with a smile #upowen
