After a great deal of deliberation, the committee have agreed that we will resume all of our athletic activities from TUESDAY 6th APRIL.
We are aware that this is a week later than we are legally entitled to do so but we feel that by waiting a week we will bring continuity to our activities rather than starting and stopping for the Easter break.
On the attached document below you will be able to see, in detail, the coach/athlete ratios which we will be following so please contact your coach in the first instance to check their plans.
Also on the document you will see the timeline for the reopening our indoor facilities, The Smithy and changing facilities
EVENTS
We are also aware that the return of Track and Field competitions will not take place until later in the year.
In January we formed an “Events” sub-committee and attached below is a fixture list they have put together for the fixtures that we are aware of and a series of local, low key club events we will be promoting to get us all back in the competition groove.
HALESOWEN A&CC 2021 summer fixtures VERSION 1
Please be aware that we have just heard that the first Midland League fixture scheduled for Saturday May 22nd has been CANCELLED.
As per the fixtures document, we will be looking to stage a club time trial event on the same date.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Our subscriptions year commences on the 1st April.
Due to the lockdown restrictions we have all had reduced access to club facilities.
For those members who renewed from August/September 2020 you will be offered a reduced rate for 2021/22.
Prospective new members and people who did not renew last year will pay the full rate.
We are aware that not everyone will be comfortable returning to the club immediately and for those that wish to delay their return we will be offering pro-rata reductions on subscriptions dependant upon the date of your return.
Full details of how to renew your membership will be made available in due course.
Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the committee of the athletic club who have worked tirelessly to keep things ticking over.
None of us joined the committee expecting to deal with the problems thrown at us over the past 12 months, we have had to make difficult decisions to ensure we keep our members as safe as possible; I am aware that not all of our decisions have been popular but I believe the committee have done a fantastic job and I cannot praise them highly enough.
