Matt AllenChairAs chair of the athletics section of HACC, I want all members to feel confident to participate in athletics, and enjoy being a member of a friendly family club. This has been my experience since joining in 2004, as a runner, coach, parent, and committee member. All aspects of grass roots athletics are reliant on the hard work of volunteers, and it is vital that that more people become involved for the club and sport to survive and grow. Please contact me with any feedback and how you would like to get involved, as we have opportunities for all, and athletic experience is not required, to get involved. Up Owen
Kathryn WillietsSecretaryI am secretary for the Athletic Section. I have held this role for 6 years My main responsibility is to provide the agendas for and minute the monthly meetings. I also deal with email correspondence in to the club, and verify documents for anyone requesting a DBS check.
I am not a competitive athlete. I joined the committee in an attempt to be a helpful parent, some years ago, and I am still here!!
Helena BustinTreasurer
Bettina WolfVice ChairI am on the committee because clubs need volunteers and I like to give back. I still volunteer at triathlon events and have past experience on a tri club committee and as tri junior coach. My first sport though was athletics, mostly running.

You will find me down at the club most nights in the week where I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Mel HepkeWomens Captain
Adrian DaleEngagement Leadmy wife and daughter have been members of the club for over 10 years and I joined last year so the club is a big part of my life. I want to ensure the club continues to grow both in reputation and financially. I don’t have the athletic ability (yet) to help with the reputation but I hope to provide some assistance with the finances by putting on a few social events throughout the year to help showcase what else the club has to offer to compliment the athletic side. I want more people using the bar, coffee hut and function room and social events, such as the recent Halloween party, are an ideal and profitable advertisement for this.
Jamie SircomClub JournalistMy name is Jamie Sircom and I have been a member of Halesowen Athletics Club since November 2012.

I regularly compete for the club in the Worcestershire Midweek Series and the Midlands Vets League and am also well known for taking part in over 300 parkrun events!

I was honoured to join the committee following my work in writing the monthly Newsround newsletter.

Being on the committee helps me understand all the activities and issues of the club fully and ensure it is presented and promoted in a positive way through the newsletter, website and social media.

David TurveyManagement RepI have been a member of halesowen athletics and cycling club for 27 years, so I have pretty much grown up there and have some great memories. I have represented England as a junior in cross country and also fell running.
I have also been mens captain for track and field and Cross country.
I’ve spent long periods of time at both athletic section committee and main club management over the years, which I continue to do so. I am also enjoying helping coach the younger athletes.
My main goals are to help the club run better and to get all the sections working together and to improve facilities and social events at our great club and also to get all the age groups mixing together as much as possible.

Adam CrossCommittee Member
My name is Adam Cross. I have been a member since around 2014. I originally joined the club as a parent when both my daughters joined the club's youth groups, but I soon became a competitive member in my own right.
Although I discovered athletics quite late in life compared to some, Halesowen offers something for all ages from 8 to 80.
I joined the club committee as I feel I can help shape the future of the club based on my own experiences as a parent and athlete myself.
As a local council officer, I also bring a knowledge of wider issues in the local area and public sector which are relevant to the club.
