X-C Report from English & Welsh Nationals

The weekends saw Halesowen A&CC athletes taking on the formidable course at Parliament Fields in London.

Lily Higgins finished a credible 23^rd in the Junior Women’s race while Kristian Bayley fished 141^st in the Junior Mens’ race. Matthew Wilkinson finished 229^th, Dominic Price 314^th in the U17 Men.

Lottie Roberts finished 104^th a good result in a field of over 450 athletes in the U15 girls. In the U15 boys Sam Mannings finished 149^th, and James Rolinson 315^th. Tom Harris finished 317^th in the U13 Boys.

The Senior Ladies team finished 90^th with over 1100 runners competing. The team was led home by Melanie Hepke in 554^th, Rebecca Moore 558^th, Caroline Lambert 787^th, Anna Cosimetti 947^th and Helen Attwood 1078^th. The Senior Men’s team finished 90^th of the 112 teams. Dave Turvey led the team home in 542^nd place in a field of nearly 2400 runners. Adam cross finished 800^th, Mark Hadley 984^th, Dave Lewis 1131^st, Phil Scarr 1247^th, James Hoult 1309^th, Alex Morgan 1466^th, Bill Nock 1752^nd, James Parker 1850^th, Andrew Nock 1935^th, Mark Higgins, 2067^th and Jamie Sircom 2307^th.

Paul Allen went to Singleton Park Swansea and came away with Welsh M70 Cross Country title.

The cross-country season is now at an end and athletes will move onto the Road and Track season, Starting with the Midland 12 Stage Relays on March 17^th.
