Junior Session
Endurance

Session Time: 19.00 -20:00
This session is aimed at competing junior athletes (12yr+) of all abilities. This session is usually based on the track with a focus on endurance. To ensure a balance it is recommended that those attending this session also attend the Wednesday evening session lead by Bill.Athletes are always encouraged to come with a water bottle and a few different layers (especially in Winter and whenever it rains). Hats and gloves are helpful for winter sessions. Light Hi visibility clothing is essential for when we go off track.
Junior Session
Sprints

This session is for all abilities. It is for speed development, with a competitive focus. The session is made up of drills, technical sprint coaching and sprint form.

Track & Distance Running

Our Monday night session is aimed at children and young people who want to improve their athletic skills and are prepared to listen, learn and try hard. We always try to make the sessions as fun as possible and tailor them as much as we can to the individual needs of each athlete. We normally split the athletes into two groups related to age and ability age and ability.
September-February- Main focus on running, middle to long distance, cross country, conditioning fitness, either on the track or out together. February-August- Main focus on a variety of athletic disciplines-running, throwing, jumping, fitness. We try to cover as many individual disciplines as possible and athletes are encouraged to take part in Sportshall and Track competitions.

Junior & Senior Session
Track and Distance Running
Lead Coach: Alex Morgan
Age grp: 16+
Session Time: 19.00 -20:00
The session is aimed at runners all abilities and gender, who want to improve their fitness and speed. The sessions usually revolve around reps of 400m and over on either track, road or grass. More focus is given to cross country training in the winter and track/ road running in the summer. The training group will focus on a number of events through the year benchmark improvement.Light Hi visibility clothing is essential for when we go off track.
Senior Session
C25k Progression (5k-8k)
Leader: Adrian Dale
Age grp: 18+
Session Time: 19.00 -20:00
These sessions are suitable for senior athletes who are looking to progress from Couch to 5km, athletes who can run 5km and those looking to progress distance, stamina and pace. Session will offer a choice of a 5-6 km run or a longer 6-8 km, with the occasional run up to 10km. Runs will generally take place offsite. Park runs are optional and vary in location. Light Hi visibility clothing is essential for when we go off track.
