We offer an athletic experience to all, irrespective of age or ability. There are no pre-requirements in terms of performance to join the club.
For young athletes (8-12 years old), the Saturday club is the place to start with an introduction to all athletic events, with our junior athletes as coaches.
For teenagers, we have a variety of sessions from 6pm on Monday to Thursday. These sessions cover a variety of athletic events including sprints, or middle/long distance, jumps and throws, both on the track and offsite.
If you’re looking to take up running for the first time, through Couch to 5k, we can support you, as we run a number of courses throughout the year.
If you’re already running and looking to join a group, we have runs each evening and at the weekend, covering a range of distances and paces, as well as track and field events.
Our Tuesday interval session at 7pm is an ideal starter session to get fit and meet fellow runners.
For those looking for company and a gentle exercise, we hold a Strollers Club at 10.30am each Thursday. This starts with gentle warm up exercises, then a walk around our athletic track.
As a member you will also be able to compete for the club in both track and field events as well as cross country and road relays. These competitions are for all ages and abilities – Sportshall, Youth Development League, Senior and Vets Track and Field League to mention a few and we signpost lots of other events throughout the year that our members compete in.
Off the track we have a number of social events that run through the year, from training camps, camping trips, our Beer Mile to presentation evenings and themed evenings/events. You are able to use the club house after training and at the weekends.
