HACC welcomed our members, along with their family and friends, to join our involvement in the “Let’s Lift The Curfew” campaign, supported by This Girl Can and Sport England 💪🏼
This campaign holds significant meaning for our club. It highlights the issue of female safety during darker evenings and how this can limit women’s ability to stay active throughout winter.
Many of our female athletes experience disruptions to their training and progression simply because they feel unsafe.😔
This shouldn’t be the reality. Yet 70% of females change their exercise routines in winter due to safety concerns.
We lit up our track with glow lights and hi-vis, added music, opened up space for discussion, and walked, jogged, and ran 5k together.
Our male members supported throughout, creating an empowering and inclusive atmosphere. 🧚🏻⭐️
An incredible event and an inspiring campaign. Let’s keep championing female athletes and ensuring sport remains accessible to everyone.
