YDL Lower

The club participates in the Youth Development League lower age categories – u13 and u15 each year. These are 3 matches in the West Midlands through out the summer with the full range of track and field disciplines. In 2025, we competed in Stourport, Telford and Worcester with 22 different athletes competing over the different matches with some great performances and a number of personal bests.

The club also supports the local Triangular League for our younger athletes, u9, u11 and u13 which acts as a great introduction to track and field. This is a great chance to try out different disciplines in a competitive event while also having fun! In 2025, we had over 30 children compete in Wolverhampton, Dudley and Tipton against Wolverhampton & Bilston Athletics Club, Tipton Harriers and Dudley & Stourbridge Harriers. In the last event of the series in Tipton we are proud to say our team WON the event with some smashing performances including 7 gold medals rounded off with some great relay performances and lots of the team cheering them on. #UpOwen
