Halesowen Athletics and Cycling Club compete in the YDL Upper League.

The Youth Development League (YDL) Upper is the Summer Season Track and Field league for athletes in the U17/U20 age bracket.

The YDL consists of 3 local meetings, against other clubs in the region and appropriate league division. The top 2 Clubs from each division are automatically entered into a 4th and final promotion meeting and will compete to be promoted into the YDL (Upper) Premier Division.

This season (2025) our Halesowen athletes competed in 3 Upper YDL meets at Stoke, Tipton and Stourport. Overall, we had 23 athletes compete for us , demonstrating determination, grit and perseverance. So many took part in new events in order to support the team and lots came away with fantastic new personal bests. Team spirit remained high throughout and it was amazing to see such a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
