Please see below the official results from the Midland 7&5 XC at High Harcourt Farm in Romsley.
Thanks to everyone from all the Midlands clubs who supported the race and well done to everyone who tackled the challenging course!
From a Halesowen point of view, we are delighted to confirm that our men’s team finished second overall! 🥈
Medals and awards will be presented once we have received them.
Some words from Bill Nock:
Good support from Halesowen athletes and spectators on a new course at High Harcourt Farm. Stu Geggie (the farmer) was very generous with his time and tractor and attention to detail to provide us with a memorable event. What a bloke.
Thank you to: Ali, Pete and Andy for course construction; Maurice on registration; marshals (clockwise around course) Mark H, Ali, Jacko, Bettina, Mick D, Rich, Steve H, Caroline and Keith; roving marshals Ollie D (the video-nasty man), Sam M, Dave T and Paul.
Course dismantling a little more difficult to personalise! Let’s try; marshals plus Ollie W, Phil, Alex, Archie, Stu G, Andy N, Andy Y, Pete, James T, Mick R (Notts). Anyone else? There must have been, it was a fast job. Well done.
No one required First Aid. A bonus.
Stuart T behind the camera – look forward to the piccies.
Nice to see so many in clubhouse afterwards. A few from Sparkhill and Notts, too. Thank you Leon for having faith and opening early.
Cheers, Bill.
